Teenagers are seeking significance in their defining contribution to the world. Calvary endeavors to be a grace-forward environment where aspiring adults can be affirmed in their identity as Christ-followers – accepted unconditionally and endlessly encouraged in choices consistent with God’s Word. In a world blown every which way by the prevailing wind of the moment, Calvary seeks to assure young adults and their families of the unshakable, firm foundation of Jesus Christ. This foundation provides a lens through which all of life is viewed as students endeavor into adulthood. It ensures youth see a world created by God, broken by Sin and redeemed through the blood of His Son.
Sadly, Christians have fallen prey to the same temptations faced by the rest of the world. There is no statistical difference in the rates of divorce, drug abuse and suicide between Christian and secular households. Combined with the disappearance or public disparaging of traditional family values, young adults are influenced by popular culture to create their own personal truth rather than ascribe to God’s design.

In Step 2 of our plan, Calvary Lutheran High School will create space for students to flourish in academics, athletics and the arts. Establishing robust space is pivotal to attracting student enrollment, ministering to the whole student, and creating a culture where students and faculty buy-in to robust extracurricular & co-curricular offerings. For these reasons, our priorities in space development are to:
- Deepen our comprehensive high school experience for students through the creation of a:
- Performing Arts Classroom (choir, band, theater and competitive speech)
- Agriculture Center outfitted for woodshop/industrial arts
- Weight Room upgrade to building the physical body alongside the mind & spirit
- Locker Rooms for ALL athletes: male and female, for Fall, Winter and Spring sports
- Empower Celebrations of Our Amazing Lion Accomplishments in a:
- Hall of Champions – Celebrating both individual and team State Champions
- Permanent bleachers on the East side of the gymnasium
- Install professional lighting on baseball and softball fields
- Protect and Care for the Lion Family with a:
- Tornado Shelter
- Additional concrete parking lot
- Updated HVAC system using the most efficient technology
